5th month anniversary of big chop

It's been 5 months since my BC.  Yesterday I washed my hair and did about 30 two strand twists all over my head.  This morning I took the twists out and I really liked the look.  I measured my hair and guess what no length this month.  Last month I was at 4.5 inches in the front and this month I measured at 4.5 inches in the front.
5 month anniversary hair two strand twist out.

4.5 inches in the front.

Length check in the back.

Length check on the left side.
So, I think that the reason why I didn't have any length this month is because I have been sick the entire time.  I know that I don't have any breakage because I would have seen the broken hairs either in my sink or in my comb.  No broken hairs, but no length.  I'm not going to worry about the no length this month.  My hair feels thicker and fuller and it looks healthy.  Until next time...
Blessings!

  1. Beautiful twist-out Jen! You might be in telogen stage (rest phase) of the hair growth cycle which is why you don't see any (or much) growth :)

  2. @JenJen, your hair is looking and doing awesome. It will grow on its time. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep doing what you are doing, your off to a great start!

  5. Your hair looks full and longer to me. Natural hair can be so deceptive. Don't even give the difference between last month and this one another thought to it.

@Krys and The Blooming Diva thank you both so much.
@JazzWife I agree that my hair looks fuller and seems longer, but the length is the same. Go figure.
