Parked in my driveway. |
Hello everyone! Yesterday the hubby and I purchased a new car. We both worked summer school and saved every penny to put a down payment on a 2012 Mazda 5. This is the first time I have ever owned a new vehicle and with the current market on used cars it was actually cheaper to buy a new car. Hello! I also got a red one! I always wanted a red car. The hubby came up with a great name for the new car (I hope that's not weird) so now we call her Penny. Can you tell I'm giddy.
Anyway, the Mazda 5 is basically the mini of the mini vans. It's perfect for small urban families like mine and when we decide to expand our family in the future we will have the room with this vehicle. I have wanted one since my son was born, but life seemed to always interfere. I love that this mini van drives like a car, but gives me the room for my family and the gas mileage won't ruin my monthly budget. Oh, and I bought it with only 124 miles!

First family photo with our new car. |
Today my son begged me to allow him to "play" in the new car. He wanted me to drive by the daycare and show it off to his "friends". I reminded him that it was Saturday and daycare was closed today. It didn't matter, he wanted to show off the new car so I buckled him in and whipped around the block where he yelled out the window at some friends "I got a new car".
My bachelor older brother messaged me that I have officially become a "soccer mom". He's single he doesn't get the demands of a family. I love my car and nothing besides maybe a horrible tornado could diminish my excitement right now. Until next time...
Blessings!
CONGRATULATION ! BUT YOU KNOW YOU WILL LAUGH AT ME BECAUSE I DID NOT LEARN HOW TO DRIVE AND I INTEND TO LEARN THIS YEAR IN SEPTEMBER. THE REASON IS WHEN I WAS 5 I WAS VICTIM OF AN ACCIDENT SINCE THEN I AM AFRAID OF THE ROAD. I NEED TO TRY TO FIGHT THIS PHOBIA. GOD BLESS.
ReplyDeleteDriving is very much an American thing. We like our cars and we drive everywhere. You should learn to drive because it's a good skill to have and it will help you deal with your fears.
DeleteCongrats on your new car.My first car was a Mazda 626. It was pretty reliable.
ReplyDeleteThank you! My hubby family all drive Mazdas. I have researched this car for years and I love it.
DeleteCongratulations to you and the family!
ReplyDeleteThank you and we bought it wisely by putting a lot of cash down so we have a very low monthly payment.
DeleteYour new car is looking so attractive with great design. I like its color very much as red is my favorite color. It is the perfect family car. Thanks for sharing this car with us.

Thank you and I love the new styling on the Mazda 5.
DeleteThat's the beauty of having a car like the Mazda 5: despite its compact size, it can seat a family of 4 or 5 and still have room for more cargo. That car is perfect for bringing the family on a picnic or a Christmas reunion. I also like the name you gave it, Penny, because it's not too expensive to drive given its fuel-efficiency.

I love my Mazda 5 and it's perfect for my small family. It drives like a car, but is room like a van.
DeleteI agree with what you said to Stelle, Jenjen. The Mazda 5 has a really very roomy interior. Congratulations on having a new car, by the way. :) You know, what I like most about the Mazda 5 is its pure athletic head-turning design. I have to admit, I never expected that the Mazda 5 could be that good.

Hello there, Penny, the sleek and clever red car! =) Yes, its spacious room makes Mazda5 a perfect choice for a family car. My recent car was a Mazda CX-5, and Cliff (the car) had been a great friend to me. So far, Mazda has been successful in delivering well-rounded products. Anyway, congratulations on your new car! =)

It drives like a car, but is roomy like a van :D I like it! Congrats on your new car. By the way, it would a good idea to park your car under the shade to protect it from the harsh UV rays. Doing this would pretty much save the gorgeous red paint.

This is one sweet ride! The color is even great! This car definitely has the potential to be the new soccer-mom-mobile. :D Be sure to stick to a maintenance program so that the car would always be ready and efficient on the road. Often check you brake fluid and engine oil.

Kudos to your new mom-mobile! :D Remember to always stick to your car’s scheduled maintenance, as this will ensure your car’s good performance. You wouldn’t want it to break down in the middle of an important school event.
